And Cleopatra
Gazed and walked upon this salt lake
When they visited the Oracle of Amun
At Siwa Oasis.
Yet
Next to it run fresh water springs
Bubbling up from deep within the earth
Water that one fell as rain upon
The heads of Pharaohs.
It makes its way to the lake
And leaves behind
The salt of the Earth.
